Indigo - Way to Go

I've begun thinking about a global INdigo get together festival/workshop/conference thingy. All sorts of stuff is popping in.

So heres a few random thoughts.

4 day event.

Days 1,2,3 are 4 2 hour sessions, each session with a theme or 2 themes, sort of like a mini-workshop.

Each evening has a social event, with a different theme, day 2 or 3's being a ceremony of some sort. Day 1's is just a social do. Day 4's is a goodbye do.

Day 4 would be Spiritual Fair style, with anyone being able to rent space for the day to advertise what they do. Also, half hour rolling talks by those who have a stand. This would be only on one day, as everyone should be attending days 1-3, and everyone needs their break and socialising/networking time. Day 4 is about marketting.

Opening keynote speaker - Doreen ?

Sessions covering....
What is an Indigo and how to recognise them, including variations.
Being an Indigo, living with the Indigo.
The passion path to life missions.
The healing path to ascension.
Karma and life lessons.
Etheric weaponary, Earthbounds and Implants. The junk you dont need to carry.
Basic meditation for yourself by yourself. Love affirmations. The Forgiveness Decree.
Mustle testing and pendulums. Listening to your angels and guidance.
Healing modalities.

Intersperced, we could do a guided meditation each day on Indigo issues. (I have a perfect one in fact.). And there is plenty for scope for humour. I thought of possibly a very funny way of doing etheric weapons that also demonstrates how Indigos interact and whats wrong with the picture. It would need a number of good sports to dress up and play the fool !

We need to discuss issues such as if this is going to make money, and if so, who for and what for.

Initial thoughts are that this should be an annual event, so the first one should aim to pay for itself, pay for several full time or part time staff, and have the finances in place for the 2nd event. In essence, I feel we should be setting up an Indigo version of AngelTherapy. It could go on to doing a full course in being an Indigo Practitioner, and someone would need to develop this as a professional entity.

The event would need some funding, as a lot of the expenses would be up front. This would mean either investment or someone stepping in and running it as their baby at their cost and their reward.

We need to find a few appropriate venues in different places in the world and get some costings, both for hall hiring and event costs, and also hotel accomodation costs.

On the Gold Coast, the Casino comes to mind immediately. Its central to Broadbeach with 2 shopping precincts in walking distance, next to the Convention center (so either the casinos event venues or the convention centers could be used), plenty of eating around to choose from, not far from plenty of tourist activities for before and after the event.

Also coming to mind is the Sheraton in Kona, Hawaii where ATP is held. Although I find its cost and remoteness a downside, and it might be better to find a cheaper hotel closer to the main Kona eating.

People do need to be able to afford to come, but at the same time, it should be reasonably high class.

What else is there to think about ? What do you think so far ?

My thoughts on this are that it would be better to start smaller with workshops then go all out on a big costly event that we are unsure of the interest on yet.

From what I understand arranging something like this would be huge up front cost for deposit on venue and a multitude of other things.

I think it would be better for those guided to do workshops in their area and then when we notice things are growing we can arrange a larger venue with larger group of events.

Also I know you like to do the social thing, but I think that some would be put off to have so much time dedicated strictly for that. Being a shy person I can say that I would. I find I don't enjoy these situations at all I feel awkard and out of place. I think more time should be spent on people displaying what they do and such.

I also think that Doreen may not need to be involved. I think it is time we all branch out on our own and not rely so much on her to give us a kick in the pants. Of course we can invite her and she can do what she feels guided, but it seems that during social like events she tends to stay behind the scenes and not be up front. So it really would be just her giving a talk of some sort and off she goes unless her and the band want to play.

Anyways, just my thoughts obviously if you feel like you should go ahead, Go for it!

Love the social idea but feel it should be strictly voluntary and maybe very relaxed, more of a back yard gathering feel rather than a dance party. For myself, while i love to dance the music is generlly too loud for my nightclub damaged hearing to talk to people so other than a quick hello I normally dont talk. At a "less volume" more relaxed kind of do i can mingle and meet. Also i like the idea of families being allowed at the socials, of any age, for strictly selfish reasons of course.

Also feeling that Doreen should be invited to speak but not necessarily as the keynote speaker. I actually dont think we need a keynote speaker, rather a collaboration of speakers.

Perhaps starting the event smaller - something on the scale of the Mind Body Spirit festival? we need to think of personal cost for the organisers as well and the cost of getting to the event for everyone involved. If smaller events do well then we could look at a larger event. (having said that when i win the millions i've asked for i'll happily bear the cost of a large event straight up )

I think that for the 3 day part of it with multiple speaker there would need to be an overall theme for the workshop, more defined than just indigo nature. Or say 1 overall theme per day? Say healing negative indigo traits for day one, teaching indigos day 2 and something else for day 3. Obviously any one of those could have an entire 3 days devoted to them but thats probably more of a one or 2 person show rather than the group collaborative.
